    Kristen Sikorski

  2. As Director of Operations at SkylesBayne, Kristen’s primary focus is to lead the organization in an effort to maximize the firm’s performance. Her role includes the development of company culture as well as managing the firms day-to-day operations.

    Prior to joining the SkylesBayne team in 2013, Kristen was the assistant to the Department Head of Hospitality at Austin Community College. She has been working in office organizational roles, meeting and event planning, program management and implementation since 2006 at the Vegetable Fruit and Improvement Center, while receiving her Bachelors Degree in History at Texas A&M University.

    Kristen finds career satisfaction in providing opportunities and enabling resources that meet the voice and needs of each team member. Her work is driven by a genuine desire to assist and leave people with the feeling they can count on her to see a task through until completion. Outside of work, Kristen is passionate about finding a new local restaurant to try, traveling and historical documentaries.

  3. Chris Skyles

  4. Chris Skyles began his real estate education right here in Austin, Texas. Growing up in Austin and attending Westlake High School, it was easy to get excited about the way Austin was growing. Continuing his education, Chris went on to get his degree in Economics from Texas A&M University.

    After college Chris moved to Houston to accept a job with the Vanguard Commercial Group specializing in tenant representation and brokerage services. It became obvious that real estate was a natural fit for Chris. He quickly rose to the head of his recruiting class building an impressive client list. Having achieved his goals in Houston, Chris set out to get back to his roots in Austin. He briefly accepted a job with The Trammell Crow Company in Austin as an industrial specialist. At this time Chris and Justin decided to strike out on their own and form the SkylesBayne Company.

    Since its inception in June 2006, Chris has successfully brokered over $200 Million in third party transactions including over 2 Million square feet in lease transactions and $70 Million in sales transactions.

    Serving on the board of the Austin Technology Council, Chris has played a notable role in furthering the technology and innovation ecosystem here in Austin. He continues to work with industry and civic leaders to ensure that Austin Technology companies have the resources they need to grow and succeed here in our community. In pursuit of this mission, Chris has been focused on increasing access to capital and talent for Austin Tech companies. Chris’ board involvement at the Austin Technology Council has been expanded, as he will be serving on their Capital Advisory Council in 2015.

  6. Justin is responsible for initiating and overseeing all leasing, acquisition, and disposition transactions at SkylesBayne. Since the firm’s inception in 2006, he has successfully handled over $250 Million in transactions involving clientele ranging from worldwide corporations to Austin’s own privately held entities. His focus is in office, industrial, and retail tenant and user representation. He has handled hundreds of transactions from office leasing to large raw land acquisitions and consistently graced Austin’s list of “Heavy Hitters”.

  7. Justin is highly involved in Austin’s professional and philanthropic community. He is a Lead Investor with Opportunity Austin, serves as a City Ambassador by traveling to other cities and countries to recruit business to central Texas, serves on the board for Team Austin a technology networking group, works with FWD.us, is a member of Vistage and many other professional organizations. He has worked for many good causes including March of Dimes, LEAP, Lifeworks, Austin Child Guidance, and is in the President’s Council for the Austin Lyric Opera.

    Previously Justin worked with Newmark Knight Frank, L.L.C., based in New York. Newmark is one of the most highly respected real estate advisory firms in the world, handling over $40 Billion in transactions annually. Justin received his degree in Economics from Texas A&M University and is a native Austinite and graduate of Westlake High School.

Scott Studzinski joined SkylesBayne as a Partner in 2016 with over 11 years of experience in commercial real estate, and 300 completed transactions.  Scott’s dynamic background includes engineering, operations management, marketing, finance, project leasing, and real estate development.  His experience, tireless work ethic, and unique education (BS in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and MBA from The University of Texas) make him a valuable asset on any transaction. Scott is annually ranked as a Commercial Real Estate Heavy Hitter by the Austin Business Journal. 

    Scott chose SkylesBayne due to it’s young, hungry, technology-driven culture, which finds creative solutions to client’s real estate challenges.   13. Michael’s involvement in the real estate industry has been multi leveled for more than 10 years. Prior to graduating from Texas State, Michael worked for a National Big Box Retail Developer. Upon graduation Michael helped launch and manage The Central Texas Data Exchange then moved back to Fort Worth to launch his brokerage career. Michael’s career in Fort Worth consisted of selling hard corners, leasing industrial and office space, project leasing of shopping centers, and the opportunity to work on a few developments.

    Michael’s expanding expertise allowed he and his wife, Sommer, to reach a long term goal of raising their 3 children in Austin and moved back in 2010. Michael is an attribute to the growing Austin market due to his enthusiasm in learning about new or growing businesses; allowing him to successfully identify ideal space for his client’s needs. Professionally he is known for strategizing the creative parts of a business plan and having the ability to envision the design of a space before completion.

    Both Michael and Sommer are active members of Austin Ridge Bible Church and regularly participate in activities at The Regents School of Austin, where their daughters currently attend. If Michael is not working on a transaction you might find him in his backyard, climbing a 14’er in Colorado, or somewhere near The Gulf.

  15. Russell began his real estate career with Transwestern’s Austin office in 2008 and was very involved in all aspects of landlord and tenant representation for local and national clients. He represented an office, medical and industrial portfolio of over 750,000 square feet in the Austin area. Prior to joining SkylesBayne, Russell worked at the Don Cox Company and Peloton Commercial Real Estate specializing in Tenant Representation/Sales, further increasing his knowledge of brokerage and servicing his clients at the highest level.

    In 2015, Russell joined SkylesBayne to continue his Tenant Representation/Sales career and exclusively represent the needs of tenants and his existing clients. Russell has handled numerous assignments throughout the Austin market involving a variety of clients and tenant services that include site section and identifying alternatives, transaction negotiations, and consultation through the construction process. A few of his significant clients have included Austin Cancer Centers, South Austin Pharmacy, Climatec, Securian Financial, Sogeti USA, USALend Financial, Paychex North America, Texas Office Products and Supply, Orkin, LLC, Alamo Mail Service, Inc., and Workers Assistance Program.

    Russell earned his Bachelor of Science degree in management from The University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas and has lived in Austin for 7 years. He enjoys spending his free time outdoors and with his son Mark. He is known for his strong character, work ethic, and passion for finding creative solutions to help company’s expand or contract, even when their options seem few and far between.

  17. Deron began his career managing commercial brokerage and leasing with Asterra Properties and The Kucera Companies. To continue his career goal of tenant representation in commercial real estate, he joined SkylesBayne in 2016. Deron has a professional background of over 15 years of sale experience in the information technology market, leaving him well equipped in the specialization of commercial office leasing. He has provided solutions for corporations such as Dell, Hewlett Packard, Adobe Software, Network Appliance, and Solarwinds. Deron’s successful work experience has given him the ability to ensure his client’s expectations are fulfilled throughout the entire process.  

    Deron’s union with SkylesBayne was based on the firm’s investments of solely focusing on the tenant’s interest.  Thus allowing him to better serve his clients needs by crafting a successful marketing strategy in networking and fostering client relationships. In order to meet his clients evolving real estate goals, Deron knows and values the importance in building a lasting relationship even when a transaction is closed. Deron can be found enjoying the outdoors, swimming at Barton Springs, skateboarding Austin, or playing a round of golf.

  18. Mitch Gaylord


  19. Mitch Gaylord’s passion for real estate came by way of looking for retail space in Austin for his wife’s fitness studio, “The Lagree Studio” located in the Hill Country Galleria. Knowing the importance of aligning himself with great coaches, mentors, and a positive team environment, Mitch needed to look no further than the SkylesBayne Company for his new career path. Mitch is specializing in Tenant Representation for retail, industrial, and office space.

    You may remember Mitch from the 1984 Olympic Games where he became the first American gymnast in history to receive a perfect score of 10.00. He went on to win a Gold, Silver, and two Bronze medals in those summer games and has two skills named after him. After the Olympics, many opportunities emerged and in addition to being appointed to the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, Mitch starred in the motion picture, “American Anthem”, did numerous speeches and appearances across the country, as well as national endorsements for Nike, Soloflex, Levi’s and Diet Coke to name a few.

    As a Los Angeles native, Mitch fulfilled his childhood dream of attending UCLA and was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 1995. In 2006, he was again honored, being inducted into the Olympic Hall of Fame. In his spare time, Mitch enjoys working out at The Lagree Studio, where he instructs as well, and spending time enjoying all that Austin has to offer with his wife, Valentina and their children.

  20. Ethan Galanter


  21. Ethan got his first taste of real estate while he was in high school working with his Father buying and selling HUD homes in the greater Dallas area. After realizing the potential in the Austin real estate market, Ethan decided to follow in his Father’s footsteps of becoming a broker. He first interned with Marcus and Millichap and soon after joined SkylesBayne.  

    After graduating from The University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2016, the SkylesBayne Partners offered Ethan a unique opportunity to join full time and become the company’s first Transaction Coordinator. Ethan has the responsibility of streamlining and managing the entire transaction process for SkylesBayne. He has created various new deliverables, aiding the SkylesBayne clients in aligning their business with the perfect space; even after a transaction closes he stays engaged to meet their needs. Ethan is constantly researching different methods and technology to make the transaction process efficient for both the brokers and their clients.  

    In his free time, Ethan enjoys cheering on UT and his hometown of Dallas sports team. While learning as much as he can about commercial real estate and the Austin market, he is constantly staying active in young leadership groups and the Austin Jewish community.
